Emmanuel Laurent, creator Films À Trois, has been producing documentaries and fiction films since 1984. His movies have been shown on France 2, 3, 5, ARTE, Canal +, Planète, BBC, NHK, FUJI 8, NRK, SVT, RTBF, AVRO, DR, CBC, Documentary Channel, History Canada, Vision TV, ITVS/PBS, ABC Australia, SBS, TVNZ… and the big screen.

Films à Trois is internationaly known for its science films (The Belly’s Opera, The Evolution of Ernst Mayr, Death by Design and The Life and Times of Life and Times, The Man from Kennewick, Four Wings and a Prayer…), a genre in which it has forcefully brought together cutting-edge research with exhilarating entertainment. Art, history and society represent the other half of the company’s productions (Gustave Caillebotte and the Adventure of the Gaze, Hitler’s Museum, Saintonge between the Vineyards, North Chad…) and several international co-productions are on their way in every genre (The Magic of the Unicorn, Mr Wong’s World, African Spring The DDT Paradox, Rose’s Journey…).

In 2006, Martin de la Fouchardière joined Films à Trois to develop documentaries and television series, and they recently partnered with  Dash Films Inc., a Toronto-based production company run by Sally Blake.  In February 2007, as independant as ever, Films À Trois  “inbedded” with Post-Moderne, a state-of-the-art post-production centre gathering 3D animation, HD facilities, editing, studios and other production companies, to get closer to the ever changing world of cinema and television.

Last but not least, Films À Trois has two features in preparation: "Else", based on Arthur Schnitzler’s “Fraulein Else” and "Mademoiselle V. Diary of an Heedless Girl" adapted from Emmanuel Laurent’s novel about Edouard Manet’s outrageously famous model.
