July 1996. Two students stumbled across a skull in the Columbia river (Washington State, USA) bearing the surprising features of inhabitants from a continent we now call Europe, as opposed to Asian, where the majority of the scientific community assumed the first Americans are from. Second and huge surprise: the entire skeleton soon dug out is carbon dated at 9,300 years BC. Under the pressure of Indian communities, in April 1998, the Army Corps of Engineer covers up the site were Kman was discovered. In 2008, Kennewick Man picks up the story where it was left in 2000. After an endless trial, on July 22, 2004, at long last the Justice Department decides it won't appeal Kennewick Man case to U.S. Supreme Court. Kennewick Man can speak, at last.
